offering

beneath the blind willow
with an iron scrap of a heart
I give my name into
the twisted fingers of roots.
Beyond the moons persuasion,
under the skin of dirt,
and the bones of the earth, carried
to the ghost of water
a whisper rising again to the sea.
born as a memory
to find you
